Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Previous experience with a large consumer-facing website or service.
- Experience with full-cycle PHP code development, including debugging and performance analysis.
- Working knowledge of the MySQL database and the ability to analyse query efficiency.
- Working experience with real-time web applications and event-driven architectures such as Node.js and jQuery.
- NoSQL and distributed database experience, such as Cassandra or Redis.
- Using caching techniques and systems such as Memcache to build scalable and performance-oriented services.
- Experienced with search engines such as Solr or ElasticSearch.
- Working knowledge of the NGINX and Apache web servers.
- Working knowledge of RESTful paradigms, as well as the ability to create API for our front-end services and mobile applications.
- Passion for products, empathy for users, and a desire to make a significant impact.
- Strong database design and query writing abilities, as well as a dedication to performance and efficiency.
- Solid engineering principles and a thorough understanding of data structures and algorithms are required.
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture, microservices, and distributed systems is required.
- Ensure the quality of the solutions developed within the team.
- Autonomously troubleshoot and debug support issues and code blues.
- Maintain technical command of the products under development.
- Person with a track record of delivering innovative algorithm development solutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Any Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Preferred Skill:
- Knowledge of low-level programming in C/C++ and/or Assembler.
- SQL and scripting language experience, such as JCL and REXX
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are required.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools and adapt to them.
